The Mixxer is a free app created by students at Dickinson College. It’s a language exchange app that allows users to find a language partner in their own community or across the globe. Users can suggest a time for a meeting and then meet up with a partner in their own community or another part of the world. The app has no registration, ads, or fees. Users can also post writing and receive feedback from other native speakers. Finally, if you’re a native speaker of a certain language, you’ll also receive invitations from other universities for an “event.” This is when students can meet with each other in the classroom.
What is Mixxer and how does it work?
Mixxer is a free language exchange app where users can meet with each other in the same or different cities to practice a foreign language. There are no limits to how many exchanges you can do or how long you can exchange. Users can also create their own events where they can meet with students at a specific time. The app allows users to create their own language groups. There are also different levels of exchange. There is the “Talk” level which is for when you speak with your partner. And there is the “Chat” level which is for when you both speak, but you’re talking to each other on Skype.
